Vacancy in Centre for microFinance (CmF)
Centre for microFinance (CmF) (http://www.cmfraj.org/), is a not for profit organization set up jointly by a group of development practitioners and academicians in conjunction with the Tata Trusts, Rajasthan state government departments and NABARD in the year 2007. It was conceptualized as a resource organization to catalyse the growth of the community-based microfinance and rural livelihoods in Rajasthan. Training and capacity building of community institutions, government and non-government agencies, research and knowledge dissemination and direct implementation have been the key functions of CmF to achieve its objective. Since 2015, CmF has expanded its functional domain to include education, skilling, nutrition, water and sanitation. To scale up the learnings of its work, CmF currently serves as a technical partner to the state government’s rural livelihoods and education programs. CmF has MoUs with the Govt. of Rajasthan for multi-thematic intervention to enhance the quality of life of the poor, particularly the underprivileged and tribal communities in Rajasthan.
CmF has been implementing maternal and child health and nutrition interventions in Sirohi district with the focus on strengthening the public health system mainly Anganwadis and rural institutions through training and handholding support to the frontline workers and creating awareness among the community through counselling sessions and Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) meetings. CmF has also extended technical support to the Sirohi district administration for their malnutrition and maternal anemia prevention initiatives in the district. CmF collaborated with the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (RGAVP)for strengthening the activities under its Food, Nutrition Health and WASH (FNHW) initiatives.
CmF is intensifying its nutrition work in select districts of Rajasthan, aiming to promote integrated management of acute malnutrition and ensure a sustainable supply of fortified Take-Home Rations (THR) and Mid-Day Meals (MDM). This approach addresses micronutrient deficiencies and synergizes with the existing Govt. initiatives.
CmF is actively seeking dynamic, dedicated, and skilled professionals to drive transformation in the lives of the underprivileged through the nutrition interventions with significant and sustainable changes in nutrition status among children and communities.
