Junior Consultant- Knowledge Management Division, NHSRC
National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) is a technical support institution under the National Health Mission (NHM), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHF&W). NHSRC works closely with the MoHF&W and the States for Health Systems strengthening and supporting the implementation of interventions under the NHM. Work at the NHSRC is organised around eight divisions, namely â Community Processes & Comprehensive Primary Care, Healthcare Financing, Healthcare Technology, Human Resources for Health, Knowledge Management Division, Public Health Administration, and Quality Patient Safety and Information Technology.
Since its inception in 2006, NHSRC has been a repository of knowledge and a center of excellence for its agenda. This organization has professional linkages with a plethora of domestic and international bodies involved in the field of Public Health. There have been a number of personnel who have served with NHSRC and gained invaluable experience enabling them to graduate to the next rung of the professional ladder. Vast exposure to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and its processes and the State Health Department is a unique feature of NHSRC. The position offers you an opportunity to participate in the process of strengthening health systems, improving health service delivery, and enabling positive health outcomes, through hands-on implementation assistance at the National, State, and District levels. Working with a transdisciplinary team, you can discover, adapt, co-create and disseminate solutions to multiple challenges related to service delivery systems, universal primary health care, human resources for health, community processes, health financing, quality of care, and patient safety, public health planning, and health promotion. This is an opportunity to support health systems strengthening at scale, learn from district and sub-district implementation, undertake knowledge translation, and enable the realization of the vision of universal health coverage.
NHSRC intends to recruit Junior Consultant â Knowledge Management Division purely on a contractual basis.
Roles & responsibilities:
⢠Support the activities as part of Research including Implementation Research for Health Systems Strengthening (IR HSS) and coordinate activities viz. research priority setting workshops, setting annual research agenda, etc.
⢠Support the rapid reviews of the projects under KMD to provide an update on a periodic basis.
⢠Provide technical inputs to research studies/protocols as and when required.
⢠Support review and analysis of published and grey literature and data available through various sources on a periodic basis, including National / State / District level survey, HMIS, Sustainable Development Goal indicators and Universal Health Coverage indicators.
⢠Support in creating platform for partners/stakeholders to share and create evidence-based knowledge, enabling the uptake of information to strengthen the health systems interventions.
⢠Ensure availability of information from available data sources in an easily transferrable and usable form, based on the requirement of the Knowledge Management and other divisions. Keep divisions abreast of latest findings on key health systems data and studies including SDG and UHC indicators.
⢠Support in activities pertaining to data collection, collation, analysis, and report writing in coordination with Implementation Research for Health Systems Strengthening (IR-HSS), KMD
⢠Identify best practices and innovations within states and districts and support in documentation. Undertake review of literature and stay up to date on current trends in health systems strengthening.
⢠Ensure timely and high-quality responses to MoHFW and Parliament Questions pertaining to the division.
⢠Support Knowledge Management Division on all administrative and technical matters
⢠Support Executive Director/Advisor/ Lead Consultant in other assignments as and when required.
Qualification & Experience:
For achieving above-mentioned deliverables, the applicant is expected to possess following qualifications & experience â
⢠MBBS / BDS with Post graduate Diploma or masterâs degree in public health or Hospital or Health Administration from a reputed institution
⢠At least 1 year of post PG work experience especially in core public health domains and research activities.
⢠Experience in one or all the following:
o Qualitative research
o Quantitative research
o Systematic Reviews
o Documentation
o Data analysis
⢠Excellent analytical skills, communication and presentation skills, and interpersonal abilities.
⢠Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Qualification & Experience may be relaxed for deserving candidates.
Age Limit: Up to 35 years (As on the date of receiving the application)
Work Location: New Delhi with extensive travel to states and Districts
Remuneration Range: Between Rs.40,000/- to Rs. 70,000/-
*Fee offered within the band will be commensurate with qualification and experience
Other Benefits: In addition to the remuneration mentioned above, Consultants of NHSRC are entitled to Free Accidental insurance, Subsidized Medical insurance, Mobile bills reimbursement, Laptop reimbursement (As per NHSRC Policy), 30 days Consolidated leave, fully paid Maternity leave (For Female Consultants) as per Government of India policy, performance linked increments, TA/ DA and per diem for on-duty visits.
Duration of Contract: Initial Contract till 31st March 2025 (with further extension subject to satisfactory performance)
