Operational Context and Key issues
Following the floods in September, Derna and surrounding villages have been affected, NRC is responding with education in emergencies intervention.
The Team Leader will oversee the smooth implementation of NRC education in emergencies response, including PSS and education activities for both Libyan and non-Libyan children and adolescents (formal and non-formal education) according to program work-plans under the supervision of the Education Project manager East and in liaison with the emergency response manager. Activities include but are not limited to; Better Learning Program (BLP), teacher professional development, non-formal education classes, adolescent girls/boys’ clubs, outreach activities.
The team leader will also be responsible for accessing hard to reach communities with education intervention and liaison with relevant education authorities and will line manage a team of education project staff based in Derna.
