| Overview of position |
The WFP, Country Office Afghanistan based in Kabul is looking to collaborate with service providers who can provide services in support of the operation and maintenance of the WFPowned fleet trucks and workshops for effective implementation of WFP ongoing and future projects within the country. In this sense, Country Office Afghanistan is looking for qualified service providers capable of providing manpower services (drivers, mechanics and other categories of manpower as specified in this RFP) for operating the WFP-owned Fleet trucks as well as WFP vehicle workshops as per the terms of reference detailed in this document. Service providers must have the capacity to deploy staff of the various group functions to any location in Afghanistan where WFP has representation and operational needs across Afghanistan. WFP Afghanistan owns and operates a fleet of over 200 heavy cargo trucks plus machinery, water tankers, mobile workshops, and light vehicles. In addition to what was mentioned above, WFP Afghanistan in all area offices provides maintenance for its own as well as its partners’ trucks, light vehicles, machinery, and water tankers. |

| Role objectives |
Act as the focal point for all customs-related matters, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance. • Ensure that all customs-related documentation is completed and accurate, including customs declarations, import/export permits, and other relevant documents. • Liaise with customs officials to ensure that good are cleared in a timely and efficient manner. • Monitor compliance with customs regulations and WFP’s import/export policies and procedures. • Coordinate with other WFP units to ensure that customs clearance operations are aligned with programmatic needs. • Maintain accurate records of all customs-related activities, including clearance times, costs, and any issues that may arise. • Provide regular update to the Logistics Unit on the status of customs clearance operations,
including any delays or issues that may arise. |
