Mission and objectives

As the United Nations lead agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. We help countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities, and to build resilience to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our work is concentrated in three focus areas; sustainable development, democratic governance and peace building, and climate and disaster resilience.

Context

The IRH Partnerships Team produces a weekly overview of updates on the international development landscape, which is shared with UNDP colleagues in the ECIS region. The small core team manages the production of this resource and is seeking assistance with news monitoring. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can bring their knowledge, ideas and skills to support this effort. Expected start date is 5 February 2024.

Task description

Volunteers will assist the Partnerships Team’s work through research and mapping of private sector companies in selected countries in the ECIS region. Under the guidance of Knowledge Management and Partnerships Specialist, volunteers are expected to deliver the mapping in a month while submitting updates on a weekly basis.
