Our team and mission
The Contracts Division is in charge of procurement implementation of all activities in support of the Science and the Human and Robotic Exploration Programmes Directorates. The relevant contracts cover a wide range of complexity, from a few 100k€ R&D to large Satellites Projects of several 100m€.
The Division implements all related procurement tasks, ranging from tendering, planning and issue of invitations to tender, to evaluation of proposals, negotiation of contracts as well as their signature and monitoring. Also, in parallel the Division contributes to the improvement of the overall Regulatory frame in the Procurement Department, and supports the general work initiated in the Department to improve time to contract. In this context, the Division pays particular attention to secure consistency in the contract management among the different Programme Directorates as well as other Procurement Divisions.

Field(s) of activity/research for the traineeship
As a Young Graduate Trainee, you will be trained to the job of contracts officer encompassing the support to preparation of requests for offers/invitations to tender, participating to the evaluation of proposals, preparing and possibly negotiating the resulting contracts, participating in the monitoring of the execution of the contracts. The selected candidate will also be involved in supporting the handling of administrative, contractual, legal and industrial problems arising from the procurements implementation. In addition, you will also contribute to structuring activities within the Contracts Department or to the benefit of the Programme Directorates.

Education
You should have just completed or be in the final year of your master’s degree in law. Any knowledge in contracts and/or procurement law would be considered an advantage.
Additional requirements
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team.
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
