About the organization-

Sangath is one of India's leading mental health research non-profit organization. It was founded in 1996 with its headquarters in Goa; major hubs in Delhi and Bhopal, and project sites in many parts of the country. Sangath's mission and expertise lies in developing and evaluating mental health interventions to be delivered through existing public systems. Its major thematic areas are: Perinatal depression, child development and disability; adolescent health; mental disorders; and ageing.

Aboutproject- 

With the support of Infosys Foundation, Sangath aims to scale up evidence based ‘task sharing’ interventions for perinatal mental health and early child development through delivery of comprehensive primary mental health care for first 1000 days of life.

Sangath has successfully digitized Thinking Healthy Program- Peer (THPP) delivered; an evidence-based task sharing intervention for perinatal depression and ASPIRE; a video-based parenting intervention for early child development.

We aim to scale these twin interventions across 8 districts of Madhya Pradesh by digitally training community-based workers (ASHAs and Anganwadi workers) and provide them continuous supervision.

About the role-

Sangath is recruiting a Documentation and Outreach officer for Infosys Foundation EMPOWER Programme based in Bhopal district. The candidate will be required to prepare social media briefs, collate and organize photos, update and maintain EMPOWER India website, prepare innovative Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material and handle communication related activities under the project.

EssentialCandidaterequirement 

  • Master’s degree in Communication, Web design, Media management, Computer applications with degree in any other related field.
  • Good Experience in web design and development
  • Good documentation skills
  • Willingness to be based in Bhopal and travel across the state as per project requirement.
  • Fluency in Hindi and English
  • Good computing (MS Office) skills.
  • Commitment of a minimum of 1 year 

   Desirablecriteria- 

  • Experience in designing graphic content
  • Experience of using Canva, Photoshop for designing posters and pamphlets
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Updating information about key events on web pages, reports and communication briefs

JobResponsibilities-

  • Developing dissemination and communication briefs for Infosys Foundation EMPOWER Programme and other projects of Sangath-Bhopal office (where and when required).
  • Designing, updating and maintaining EMPOWER website regularly.
  • Managing and working with communications agencies (Digital and Creative), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of websites and posts.
  • Using relevant digital systems such as Google Analytics, Canva, Mail chimp, WordPress, Active campaign etc. for developing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for different project activities.
  • Contribute towards documentation, report writing and managing google and Microsoft one drives.
  • Ensuring coverage of project activities in social media handles and website with brief write up
  • Provide communications support for trainings, events and project campaigns.
  • Support the information, dissemination and communication related activities in Sangath-Bhopal office
  • Willingness to travel to field sites for campaigns, documentation related work and event management in different districts of Madhya Pradesh
  • Assist and participate in other Sangath activities.
  • Any other task assigned by the Project Lead, Co-Lead, Senior Program Coordinator and Project Coordinators

Remunerationandcontractualduration-

Salary offered will be commensurate with skills and depend on last drawn salary, education, workexperience and as per applicable Sangath policy.

The maximum salary for this position is INR 30,000/- per month.

The appointment will be on probation initially, for a period of 6 months from the date of your joining. After successful completion of your probation, your contract will be extended till end of the financial year/grant whichever is earlier. The probation period may be extended if so required by the supervisor/project lead based on the performance.
