Under the supervision of the Retention Officer and working closely with the Fundraising Associate – Campaign Optimization and the Fundraising Associate - Donor Experience, the incumbent will be responsible to lead the monitoring and performance report over the implementation of all retention actions with UNICEF Chile’s donors. This role aims to serve as a quality assurance analyst over the tactics of all individual giving areas, that have effects on the retention of UNICEF Chile’s donors.

The position of Fundraising Senior Associate (Retention Analyst - Donor Performance) at the GS7 level in Chile Country Office (CHCO), in the section of Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships, reports to the Retention Officer which is at the NO-A/NO-1. The tremendous growth in terms of active pledge donors, and subsequent challenge of maintaining the low attrition rate, high payment rate and maximization of the lifetime value of the broad segment of donors, demands specialized and strategic performance analysis on the file as to evaluate optimization campaigns, experience touchpoints and identify efficiency gaps in the retention strategies.

Under the supervision of the Retention Officer and working closely with the Fundraising Associate – Campaign Optimization and the Fundraising Associate - Donor Experience, the incumbent will be responsible to lead the monitoring and performance report over the implementation of all retention actions with UNICEF Chile’s donors.

This role aims to serve as a quality assurance analyst over the tactics of all individual giving areas, that have effects on the retention of UNICEF Chile’s donors.

How can you make a difference?

1. Follow’s up retention’s performance management control
• Reports on optimization performance, with the focus on helping ensure that all interaction of donors with UNICEF campaigns improve their lifetime value for the organization (throughout all channels: telemarketing, email, WhatsApp, social media, etc.)
• Provides all the information needed for the planning processes and assists the Retention Officer on monitoring and evaluating performance toward decision making for retention area.
• Reports on the permanent status of the goals for relevant retention KPIs
• Helps make happen that platforms and systems needed for serving retention business strategies through communication channels with donor are in place and fluent on data managing.
• Relates with relevant colleagues for the role, as to serve UNICEF general goals, from the retention perspective.
• Is responsible on the managing of the platforms (Sales Force or others) for retention strategies and purposes, articulating and collaborating with Business Intelligence team in order to achieve it.
• Ensure the services provided by partners follow UNICEF rules and regulation.
• Maintains a close relationship with the specific stakeholders relevant for the role, especially partner/s, providers, and agencies, to ensure a smooth and organized system functioning, development, and implementation.
• Assist to regular meetings with internal or external stakeholders to monitor on-going commitment on the deliverables.
• Contributes to the construction of the annual work plan and budget for retention performance.

2. Work closely with all teams in Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) teams, implementing partner and agencies to ensure project and requirements alignment of needs and scope.

3. Understand the business operation considering where efficiencies can be made.

4. Contributes on monitoring the performance of retention plans.

5. Lead efficient and timely contract procurement and invoice process and any other related.

6. Manage budget to ensure funding is always available and properly allocated.

7. Manage all consent, licenses, and other agreements with UNICEF third parties and ensure that all contracts are kept up to date in the VISION system and all invoices are processed and paid on time.

The position will contribute to the Organization goals as it will:

• Deliver management control of the retention plans and strategy to improve decision making
• Contribute to the best survival of donors while they are members of UNICEF, ensuring other areas give them the best experience.
• Ensure retention actions can be achieved in the best way possible, optimizing performance of platforms and data management

Successful achievements of these objectives will lead to substantially higher income for UNICEF through increased donor retention. Failure to deliver the required resources and experience will result in loss of income and increase of costs.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses in project management, business analytics, science/engineering, information technology, electrical engineering, or equivalent professional.
  • 7 years of progressive relevant working experience in customer support, contact center, direct marketing or fundraising areas.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Ability to analyze financial data such as ROI.
    • General ability to draft clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
    • Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
    • Pleasant Personality, with experience in Project Management and Business Analysis.
    • Knowledge of computer systems and architecture, database, internet navigation and various office applications, specifically Salesforce.
    • Knowledge of current theories and practices in Big Data and Technology Innovation is desirable.

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may be considered to compensate for three (3) years of experience in case the candidate lacks the required experience.

A master’s degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may be considered to compensate for an additional two (2) years (in addition to the three years from above, totaling 5 years).
