Functional Responsibilities
The Security Guard will:

Conduct security controls operating from the guard booth and/or the control room to provide security support to OQ personnel, tenants, assets and premises.

Support in implementing OQ security arrangements in line with UNDSS guidance and OQ security SOPs.

Support in implementing security and emergency preparedness plans and responses.

Support the DFO& LSA in other security related requirements when requested.
The work is of a highly confidential nature and the Security Guard must maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
Working under the direct supervision of the LSA, the Security Guard will be responsible for the following deliverables.

Enforce security controls and surveillance to keep OQ personnel, visitors, tenants, assets and premises.

Operating from the guard booth, conduct security screening and checks to ensure personnel or vehicles enter OQ premises meet the security standards.

Operating from the control room, monitor surveillance cameras and alarm system of the compound and the vicinity.

Maintain the vehicle movement register.

Maintain the visitor database.
-
Provide support to building visitors and escort them as needed.

Maintain correct records in the handover report between shifts.
-
Conduct regular patrols around and inside the building, including inspecting security equipment.

Take note of security risks & gaps and escalate to the LSA.

Reports incidents and suspicious activity to LSA.

Respond to emergencies and alarms in a timely manner, following training and instructions.

During an emergency, contact local emergency providers as needed.

Support LSA in implementing OQ Security arrangements in line with UN DSS guidance and OQ SOPs.

Assist in implementing OQ access procedures, including issuing access cards to OQ personnel.

Support drivers in making the fleet security compliant with the relevant security standards.

Support DFO and LSA during emergency drills and emergency responses.

Assist LSA in maintaining the warden lists and emergency headcounts.

Commit to up to date with UN DSS trainings.

Perform backup transport and driving duties as needed.
-
Perform any other duties as requested by LSA.
