Overview of position

Express of Interest – Trauma Medic

Role objectives

The positions would ideally suit someone with operational British Military experience, capable of providing a high standard of welfare, morale, discipline and build professional operational relationships.  In addition, they will provide immediate emergency medical support (Trauma), if required.

Project reporting

Responsibilities:

·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and treatment advancements and demonstrate continuous professional development of medical skills and treatment techniques.

·They will ensure all medical equipment is maintained in an operational condition and ensure that all equipment and medicines are in a sterile stage before ‘use by dates’.

·They will also provide first aid training to our staff and clients.

·Use of communication equipment and voice procedure.

·Navigation and map reading and the use of GPS.

Key competencies
  • Must hold one of the following in date certificates: 

    1. HPC Registered Paramedic or equivalent. 

    2. HSE Offshore Medic Certificate.

    3. Registered Nurse with critical care qualification.

  • Must hold a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pre-Hospital Life Support (PHTLS) qualification or equivalent.

  • Able to demonstrate the physical aspects of casualty evacuation by wearing body armour and medical equipment.

  • Active experience in the use of firearms

  • Capable and safe driver of heavy armoured four-wheel drive vehicles.

  • Basic first line roadside repair.

  • Organisational and leadership skills.

Team management

Essentials:

DV Cleared (advantage) or SC clearance (essential). 
Must be a British passport holder.
At least 5 years of experience
SIA Level 3 licence - Close Protection, FREC 3 or equivalent.   
Fluency in English 
Experience in a high threat environment, would be an advantage.

Current and valid C1 Driver’s license.
