About the organization - Hope Kolkata Foundation (HKF) was established in February 1999 for the protection and development of children on the street and in difficult circumstances. HKF works for the all round development of street children by providing: shelter, nutrition, education, healthcare, counselling, recreational activities, awareness generation about issues relating to children’s rights, reintegration into family life, support and love & Life Skill Vocational Training.

Job Title: Superintendent - Boys Protection Home (Residential)

Location: Kolkata

Salary: Rs. 27,500/- per month (CTC)

Qualifications:

• MSW ( Preferable)
• 2 yrs (preferable from NGO background with relevant experiences)
Job Description:
He will be in charge of implementing every aspect of that protection home.

This is a Full time position for

• Home License renewal and updating it.
• Looking into all children’s educational matter to ensure that all the children receives age appropriate education opportunities.
• Planning and Placement of different children in school and hostel in protection home.
• Preparation of MIS /Bi-annual and Annual report, Sponsorship letters and cards, and Achievement report of protection Homes.
• Budget Monitoring & Bill Settlement with Accounts Department.
• Organize Meeting based on J.J. Act, & Staff meeting and impart Parents Training
• Monitoring of Health & hygiene & maintenance part in home with the help of Program Manager.
• Coordinating & arranging grocery for protection homes.
• Will be responsible for all matters pertaining to Protection Home and adherence of Child Protection Policy of HKF
• Planning implementation and co-ordination of all home activities, programmes and operations, including training and capacity building of staff and children
• Stand-by arrangements for water storage, Electricity Wiring, emergency lighting, Careful handling of Fire equipment’s and knowledge of renewal. Ensure Fire Safety in the Protection Home
• Organize local and national festivals in the home, Organize trips or excursions or picnics for children.
• Supervision over office administration, including attending to personnel welfare and staff discipline. Prompt, firm and considerate handling of all disciplinary matters.
• Liaison, co-ordination and co-operation with the C.P.O / District Child Protection Unit or State Government as and when required.
• Ensure proper restoration and rehabilitation of the children admitted in protection home.
• Keeping record of each child, child case history, individual care plan, family assessment, Health & Education record and maintaining database as per need.
• Prompt action on incident report & record.

Working Hours: Working will be totally on residential basis Working days will be 5 Days each week, but the 1stsaturday of the month is working day.
