Overview

Overview To coordinate, facilitate, and technically implement the MELIA program of CIFOR-ICRAF’s GLF program while ensuring integration and synergy with wider Q4I and CIFOR-ICRAF initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities

1.Under the guidance of the Senior Economist, assist in the development and implementation of the MELIA framework and processes, ensuring close alignment and coordinating communication between Q4I unit and the GLF secretariat and innovations:

·Develop formats and templates for aligning/harmonizing and optimizing MELIA processes while refining and updating tracking tools for GLF activities and programmes.

·Manage data gathering and manage data analysis for indicators (including the development of surveys, holding interviews, etc.).

·Visualize indicators and tracking using appropriate formats (dashboards, presentations, other formats as needed).

·Oversee the reviewing of the GLF’s Theory of Change (ToC) ensuring its integration into CIFOR-ICRAF’s ToC.

·Ensure that the GLF project’s profile and MELIA module in the CIFOR-ICRAF organizational MELIA system up to date so that GLF’s contribution to CIFOR-ICRAF’s core institutional KPIs and knowledge uptake is recorded.

·Collaborate with GLF team to strategize, set in place and maintain a system for tracking progress, impact and alignment with evaluation needs.

2.Coordinate internal and external evaluations of the GLF, ensuring GLF’s programs keep serving its global and regional audiences.

3.Monitor and assess stakeholder engagement mechanisms and lead the development of outcome stories:

·Monitor qualitative and quantitative indicators to show-case results, targeting key areas of GLF’s ToC.

·Develop timely yearly outcome stories to track impact of the core activities of the GLF

·Develop tailored / accurate impact evaluation processes (interpretation of quantitative as well as qualitative indicators) and support in highlighting results of stakeholder engagement mechanisms.

4.Responsible of donor deliverable tracking and reporting.





Education, knowledge and experience

•MSc in Economics, Social Sciences, or another relevant field.
•At least five years of working experience in a non-governmental organization.
•First experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Impact assessment or closely related fields.

Terms and conditions

•This is a Locally Recruited position. CIFOR-ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency commensurate with skills and experience.
•The duty station will be in Nairobi, Kenya CIFOR-ICRAF Offices.
