Requirement
- Graduate / PG in medical sciences, preferably doctors with experience in health / management / social work. The person should have experience of conducting deliveries and training midwives.
- Good communication, writing and management skills
- Adequate knowledge of computer operations, especially MS Office
- Creative and Enterprising
- Ability to drive would help
Responsibilities:
The Clinical Manager is expected to assist the Program Manager in multi-faceted ways, among them are:
- Assessment of all ANMs at block level for knowledge, skills and practices for safe delivery. Highlighting critical gaps that need to be covered through training & mentoring.
- Create an annual training calendar for the training of ANMs along with the Nurse Mentor.
- Conduct and guide classroom and web-based training of ANMs in the region with safe delivery practices.
- Guide the Nurse Mentors in the project.
- Assist ANMs in conducting deliveries where needed.
- Liaise with relevant members of the public health sector.
- Coordinate with external agencies.
- Plan and implement a calendar of medical camps in coordination with partner agencies and independently with a focus on NCDs (Diabetes and Hypertension), ensuring screening, treatment, referrals and follow-up and generation of awareness in the community on prevention and management of diseases.
- Oversee monthly monitoring, timely compilation, analysis and submission of reports of the project to the Program Manager.
- Oversee aspects of Administrative and Financial management of the clinical part of the project.
