2024 Cycle Position, Full Time, Remote, United States

Change Research provides polling and strategy to organizations that share our vision for a more humane, scientific, and just world. Innovation is at our core. We are a data science-first public opinion research company. Our responsive and dynamic methodology ensures we can reach representative samples and allows us to hone in on particular populations for insightful feedback. Today, we are developing AI and tech tools to better collect, understand, and predict public opinion.

We value a diverse and inclusive workplace, as well as the strengths that different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives bring to our team. We strongly encourage women, Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ people, veterans, people living with disabilities, and members of other historically disenfranchised populations to apply.

Position Summary

This is a full-time, remote, and temporary (through November 2024) position reporting to the Head of Product. This position will also collaborate closely with Change Research’s Analysts, Product Manager, and Growth & Marketing Manager in support of Change Research and its non-partisan business unit, Embold Research.

At Change Research, we know that data and insights are powerful tools for bringing people together and fostering relationships. In 2024, we’re seeking to build a stronger network and reputation around our data, and to increase awareness of and trust in our brand and products.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing the content that makes Change Research’s growth and marketing engine run, learn about and sell new products. You’ll work in close collaboration with team members to fuel sales outreach, brand awareness, partnerships, and product marketing. You’ll act as a key bridge between teams—translating Polling Team analysis into marketing fodder, and translating our Product Team’s advancements into concrete, useful ideas and guidance for our Growth team and Change Agent network.

Specifically, you will:

  • Conceptualize and write data-based content that enables outreach and ongoing relationship maintenance with prospects and past clients.
  • Repurpose public polling analysis developed by our Survey Analysts for marketing content, including webinars, social media posts, newsletters, and more.
  • Support the Director of Growth Operations by developing polling content and sales enablement material for Change Research’s network of Change Agents.
  • Support senior leadership and Growth team members in preparing for travel, conferences, and pitches.
  • Develop regional- and vertical-specific marketing materials, including lists of local contacts, digital ads, and germane research syntheses.
  • Under the direction of our Product Manager, develop and maintain sales enablement content that outlines what our products do, how they solve problems for clients, and when and how to sell those products. Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications working group to identify opportunities to creatively promote our products.
  • Become a super-user of Change Research’s internal, AI-enabled data synthesis chatbot. Find insights in Change Research’ treasure trove of data and elevate germane data points to aid in client and prospect outreach.
  • Manage, update, and repurpose Change Research’s wide-ranging library of marketing collateral, sales enablement material, and other content. Develop case studies of our work.
  • Monitor competitors’ content marketing and public polling, along with news trends and political podcasts. Simultaneously maintain a strong working knowledge of the research that Change Research is conducting.
  • Search for opportunities for Change Research to take part in industry panels, presentations, podcasts, etc. Proactively identify timely opportunities to pitch our research to political podcasts and other news outlets, as well as industry panels.

About you:
This is an ideal position for a recent college graduate or someone looking to enter the field of political social science. The ideal candidate has a high level of attention to detail and is interested in developing a strong working knowledge of polling. An interest in developing basic layout and typography skills, and video editing skills, is a plus. You are comfortable with software, have a keen interest in politics, and want to work hard in pursuit of a good cause.

In your work, you are:

  • Extremely rigorous in your attention to detail
  • Highly organized, systems oriented, and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects moving forward at the same time
  • Creative, self-motivated and adept at working independently
  • Able to quickly learn new programs and tools

On a team, you are:

  • Startup-minded: you plug holes, get things done, and think of ways to improve systems
  • Calm and collected in the face of deadlines
  • Able to communicate your ideas to peers and managers, and be receptive to feedback
  • Enthusiastic and professional
  • Excited to be part of a kind and hard-working team committed to making a difference in our country’s future
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and with juggling multiple projects

Compensation and Work Environment:
The monthly salary is $5,000, and includes these benefits:

  • Company-subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Paid time off, sick days, and company holidays
  • Access to pre-tax 401K program
  • Fully remote work environment
