and Kakuma, and four counties (Garissa, Turkana, West Pokot and Nairobi), the
IRC implements programs in the sectors of health, Nutrition, governance &
rights, and women’s protection & empowerment, Economic Recovery and
Development, as well as providing emergency response through a network of four
field offices and a range of institutional and community-based partnerships. Job Purpose/Objective The IRC is recruiting a
Nutritionist to be part of the MoH Team to implement the CMAM Approach. The
CMAM approach aims to reach the maximum number of children with acute
malnutrition and to ensure quality, access, and coverage by allowing most
children to be treated at many decentralized outpatient care sites. Whilst the CMAM approach consists
of four main components: community outreach, outpatient care for the management
of SAM without medical complications, inpatient care for the management of SAM
with medical complications, and programmes for the management of moderate acute
malnutrition (MAM), such as a supplementary feeding programme (SFP). The IRC
proposes to implement the CMAM approach in one sub county in West Pokot while
working through the MOH system. Working under the guidance and
supervision of the Nutrition Manager, the Nutritionist will be directly
responsible for the day-to-day coordination and project oversight with the MOH
in all identified implementation sites within West Pokot. Key Responsibilities: Required Experience & Competencies Standards of Professional
