Location: Hybrid (home and office based, ideally in London)
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 Per annum based on 35 hours per week (plus Inner London weighting, £3,344, if applicable)
Contract: Fixed Term

What does a Day in the life of Programme Quality and Development Manager look like?
The MENA/EUROPE region is seeking to hire two Program Quality and Development Managers (PQD) – one for Europe and one for MENA.You will work closely with both fundraising and programme teams to ensure we are clearly scoping, designing and developing programmes that are aligned with donor opportunities to maximise income, partnerships and opportunities within the region.

You will work with the Senior Business Development Manager to support and strengthen regional programme development efforts, including working closely with fundraising and the FCDO team on stewarding all phases of the business development process, from opportunity identification, pre-positioning, partnership, proposal development and submission, due diligence and donor engagement.

Do you have the following skills and experience to be a successful Programme Quality and Development Manager?
  • Able to think strategically in relation to programme design and how best to work collaboratively with fundraising teams and a range of income streams
  • Able to network, engage and maximise funding opportunities for the organisation and our partners.
  • Proven Humanitarian Diplomacy skills that demonstrate ability to engage with senior representatives, donors or governments
  • Knowledge of the Region
  • Good knowledge of fundraising and resource mobilisation opportunities (including institutional fundraising and private sector engagement)
  • Strong programme development skills; strong programme budgeting skills a plus.
  • Strong experience in collaboration and ability to work with people with diverse opinions to develop program proposals and other donor impact opportunities.
  • Representing international organisations at a senior level in operational contexts, preferably within the humanitarian or international development sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively manage a variety of relationships in a multicultural environment
