Dettol School Hygiene Education Initiative:

Project Background: Dettol School Hygiene Education Initiative

In 2016, as part of Reckitt's dedication to fostering a cleaner and healthier India, the Dettol Banega Swasth India campaign embarked on a pivotal mission. Recognizing the crucial role of education in promoting hygiene and sanitation, the campaign initiated the development of a comprehensive Swachh (cleanliness) or Hygiene Curriculum tailored for schoolchildren.

The primary objective of this curriculum was multifaceted. It aimed not only to impart knowledge about the significance of cleanliness but also to instil healthy habits and practices among young minds. By nurturing an understanding of hygiene from an early age, the initiative sought to contribute significantly to India's aspiration of achieving Swasth (healthy) and Swachh (clean) status.

Aligned with Reckitt's overarching commitment to public health, the Dettol School Hygiene Education Initiative emerged as a beacon of transformative education. Through engaging and interactive learning modules, the curriculum aimed to empower children with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold cleanliness standards in their daily lives. By nurturing a generation of hygiene-conscious individuals, the initiative envisioned a future where health and cleanliness thrive hand in hand, enriching communities and safeguarding the well-being of all.
