Overview

Trees Outside Forest (TOF) Hub is a one-stop source for information and awareness on agroforestry systems. ToF Hub is envisaged as a facilitation center that will provide relevant information and extension support to farmers/stakeholders in ToF Domains like Prevailing and Possible Agroforestry Models, Facilitating QPM sourcing for farmers, and technical guidance/awareness for Agroforestry operations, etc.

The position is responsible for supporting the State team in the implementation of the Tress Outside Forest in India (TOFI) work plan in the given area /state.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinating and executing awareness camps, training sessions, and group discussions for the Tree Plantation Program.
  • Conducting field surveys, soil sampling, and geo-tagging, ensuring comprehensive data collection aligned with program objectives.
  • Overseeing the entire tree planting process, including supervision of planting, aftercare, and coordination of necessary resources for effective implementation.
  • Preparing detailed reports summarizing program activities, outcomes, and challenges encountered.
  • Assisting State teams in farmer contact, mobilization efforts, and community engagement.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in handling TOF-related machinery and products.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the State Coordinator to contribute to the program's overall success.



Education, knowledge and experience

• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in community-level field operations, farmer training, and data collection. An experienced person who can work closely with farmers, organizing village/block level meetings, training, and other Trees Outside Forests (TOF) related activities.
• Education: Graduate in a science subject (preferably biological sciences), Diploma in Agriculture and allied sciences.
• Others: Knowledge of basic computer applications and a valid Two-wheeler driving license is mandatory.
