Wedu is building a world where half of all leaders are women. We nurture and invest in women's purposeful leadership journeys and mobilise allies and communities towards alternative futures where women leaders thrive. Since 2012, we have strengthened and sustained the unique leadership journeys of over 5,000 women from 29 countries across Asia by facilitating long-term mentorship, delivering leadership development training, convening supportive communities, and financing continuing education goals through Income Sharing Agreements (ISAs).

These women are inspiring individuals committed to changing the status quo. We believe that this community of leaders — supported by gender equity allies from 94 countries around the world — has the power to affect large-scale change. This is an exciting time to join Wedu. After refreshing our strategy, we are looking for a highly motivated leader who is innovative and thoughtful in their approach to getting things done and has a demonstrated passion for gender equity, to join our dynamic team.

The Executive Director at Wedu will spearhead strategic initiatives aligned with the organisation's mission and values. They will represent Wedu externally, fostering partnerships and positioning the organisation as a gender equity thought leader and partner. Managing an annual budget of USD 1 million, they will cultivate funding relationships and oversee financial planning. Ideal candidates will demonstrate visionary leadership, stakeholder management skills, and a deep commitment to gender equity.

Wedu welcomes diverse applicants, recognising the value of varied perspectives and experiences. For contextual and regional relevance, candidates with established networks and lived experiences on the transformative impact of women's leadership and gender equality initiatives in Asia are strongly encouraged to apply.

Please apply through this link by Friday 14th June at 23:59 ICT with: (i) your résumé, (ii) a cover letter that addresses the question: Why are you interested in leading Wedu?, and (iii) a 3-minute video clip speaking to what you perceive to be the 2 most significant barriers and opportunities for closing the gender leadership gap in Asia. Please ensure that you are visible with clear audio. We are not looking for high video production quality; we care more about your ability to share your ideas.
