CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR CONSULTANCY
Duty Station of the Consultancy: Doha, Qatar
Duration of Consultancy: 6 months
Nature of the consultancy: Child- Friendly Activities Space Facilitator , overseeing the safety and cleanliness of the space, preparing and implementing an recreational and educational curriculum and activities to children attending the space.
Project Context and Scope: The United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) operates world-wide with a target of providing resettlement opportunities to many thousands of refugees each year. IOM provides a range of services and support to the USRAP including, but not limited to, case processing, migration health assessments, cultural orientation training, organized transportation and administration of a travel loan and collections program. The Department of Operations and Emergencies (DOE), specifically the Resettlement and Movement Division (RMM), has the organizational responsibility to provide direction, oversight and guidance to IOM’s global support to all resettlement programs.

Responsibilities
Category A Consultants: Tasks to be performed under this contract
1.Support RSC MENA activities by facilitating Child-Friendly Activities Space services to applicant children while their family member(s) or guardian(s) participate in interviews, counselling sessions, cultural orientation classes and other activities related to the USRAP in CAS, QATAR.
2.Lead basic learning activities and games designed for a wide range of ages, including activities and games related to the process of resettlement and life in resettlement countries.
3.Safeguard all materials in designated Child -Friendly Activities Space areas, including toys, books, learning materials, posters and furniture. Alert the Senior Project Assistant, Project Management if CFAS materials are damaged or missing, and keep the Senior Project Assistant, Project Management informed of ongoing material needs.
4.Maintain a clean and safe environment by tidying the designated Child Friendly Activities Space throughout the workday and ensuring the Child Friendly Activities Space is clean and all materials secured after use
5. As requested during time periods when no facilitating of CFAS is needed, assist RSC MENA staff members with non-CFAS activities such as escorting applicants, managing crowd control in waiting areas, distributing food and water during interviews and conducting inventory of supplies.
6.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
Maintaining safety of the Child- Friendly Activities Space, implementing curriculums to be used in Child-Friendly Activities Space. Keeping children entertained and safe at all times during their presence in the Child Friendly Activities Space.
Qualifications
Completed secondary education with 3 years of relevant professional experience
Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of Pashto and or Dari is advantageous.
