OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The Department of Country Strategy and Support (CSS) responds to the need for enhancing WHO leadership at country level by providing strategic policy guidance, ensuring integrated technical support and coordinating organizational response. In line with the 13th General Programme of Work (GPW13) the department of CSS coordinates a global meeting of WHO senior managers which includes the Director General, the six Regional Directors, and 154 WHO country Representatives. The event is a two-yearly event that provides a forum for discussion at an organization level. The 2024 Global Management Meeting (GMM) will be held outside of Geneva, Switzerland and will require advance coordination and extensive preparation.
