Our mission is to enhance agricultural productivity, ensure water security, and improve the livelihoods of farmers through innovative solutions and community engagement.

Position Summary:
In this context, ACCESS is inviting applications from self-driven professionals who are interested to take on the role of Water Expert and delivering against the objectives of the project. The Water Expert will be responsible for timely and high-quality implementation of the project in designated .

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water cum Agricultural Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies for efficient water use and sustainable agricultural practices. This role involves working closely with local farmers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote best practices and improve agricultural output in the region.

Water Management:
• Assess and monitor water resources in the district.
• Develop and implement water conservation strategies, including rainwater harvesting, efficient irrigation systems, and groundwater recharge techniques.
• Promote the adoption of water-saving technologies and practices among farmers.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on water management for local communities.

Agricultural Expertise:
• Provide technical guidance on sustainable climate resilient agricultural practices specially focusing on effective Water efficient technologies, including crop selection, soil health, pest management, increasing soil organic carbon and organic farming.
• Develop and implement programs to increase agricultural productivity and resilience to climate change.
• Conduct field visits and demonstrations to showcase best practices and new technologies.
• Collaborate with agricultural research institutions to introduce innovative solutions and technologies.

Community Engagement and Capacity Building:
• Work closely with local farmers, water user associations, and community groups to understand their needs and challenges.
• Facilitate the formation of farmer groups and cooperatives to promote collective action.
• Organize capacity-building programs and training sessions for farmers and community members.
• Promote awareness about the importance of water conservation and sustainable agriculture through outreach programs.

Project Management and Reporting:
• Develop project proposals and secure funding for water and agricultural initiatives.
• Prepare regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Plan, implement, and monitor projects to ensure they meet objectives and timelines

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Water Resources Management, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water management and agricultural practices, preferably in a similar geographical context.

Skills and Competencies:
• Strong understanding of sustainable agricultural practices and water conservation techniques. - Proven experience in project management and community engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in local languages (Hindi and Rajasthani) is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Travel Requirement:
Willingness to travel within Jaipur district as required for implementing the project efficiently.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is commensurate to industry standards and will be determined based upon experience set of the candidate and the HR policies of the organization.
