Global Leadership Programme: Currently recruiting for our next intake!  

Are you passionate about international development and looking to make a greater impact? Have you travelled or volunteered abroad and want to take the next step as a global leader? 

Join our Global Leadership Programme, designed to provide you with hands-on experience supporting the work of the FutureSense Foundation, an international development charity.  You will be required to step outside your comfort zone, working with youth and communities globally and make a positive difference in the lives of young people. We are looking for passionate graduates, who are keen to learn about global challenges, define their own purpose and take the lead in shaping a generation of changemakers. 

Length: 3-6 months 

Start date: October/November 2026

  • Battambang, Cambodia 

  • Luang Prabang, Laos

  • Kathmandu, Nepal

Your role

After an initial period of training, you will be placed in one of our overseas hubs as a Group Mentor and Project Implementor. You will be supporting our in-country team through coordinating group projects and supporting our project participants on their journey to becoming global citizens.  

Your days will be filled with exciting challenges and fulfilling experiences, including: 

  • Making an impact: Coordinating and delivering impactful project activities (e.g. STEAM workshops, tree planting) with our local partners, all aligned with FutureSense Foundations values and mission.  

  • Taking the lead: Embaringk on a leadership role as you guide your group of project participants through immersive and exciting cultural activities, fostering a profound appreciation for local traditions, languages, and customs that enriches and broadens your global perspective.  

  • Facilitating learning: Engaging your group in reflective discussions and interactive sessions to foster personal growth, leadership skills, and self-confidence among the participants. 

  • Championing change: Monitoring project inputs, outputs, and impacts to ensure our projects make a lasting difference. 

  • Capturing the magic: Reporting on the progress and success of all international project participants and community development project delivery activities.

Role requirements 

  • Passion for international development and making a difference 

  • Overseas travel experience 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent 

  • Fluent in English  

  • Previous experience in leadership roles is desirable

  • You are energetic, hard-working and do not hesitate to jump into the action 

  • You have a positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills

Package details

You'll be responsible for international flights to and from your placement, as well as any required visa and travel insurance costs. You'll indicate your preferred hub locations during the application process, with final placement based on programme needs.
