As a Senior Analyst at Arcus Policy Research, you will:

  1. Contribute to research projects and implement innovative strategies to raise farmers' incomes, including evaluating these innovations.
  2. Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using statistical and econometric techniques to derive insights relevant to research objectives.
  3. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, policy briefs, bulletins, and other relevant outlets to disseminate knowledge and advance the field.
  4. Engage with policymakers, stakeholders, and other groups to communicate research findings, influence policy decisions, and contribute to evidence-based policy formulation and implementation.
  5. Provide mentorship to junior research staff (e.g., research fellows, associates, and assistants) to support their professional development and the overall success of the research team.
  6. Disseminate research findings through conferences, workshops, seminars, podcasts, and other communication platforms.
  7. Co-author reports, issue briefs, and develop ideas for blogs and outreach submissions based on research.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest developments, trends, and best practices in agricultural policy/economics through continuous learning, networking, and participation in relevant professional activities.

Job Requirements

  • Education:
    • Ph.D. in economics, statistics, or related fields from a reputed institute or university (minimum 3 years of relevant research experience).
    • Alternatively, a master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Strong expertise in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using statistical and econometric methods.
    • Proven ability to publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, policy briefs, and bulletins.
    • Experience engaging with policymakers and stakeholders to effectively communicate research findings and influence policy decisions.
    • Experience disseminating research through conferences, workshops, and other platforms.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel as required for project-related activities.
