With nearly two decades of experience, the IRC is one of the leading providers of high-quality programming to support victims and survivors of human trafficking in the United States and is rapidly expanding this portfolio in Europe. The IRC currently operates anti-trafficking programs in 12 US cities and in 12 countries in Europe, including through partners. IRC is currently implementing a U.S Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Victims of Crime (OVC) funded platform to share technical know-how and resources on labor trafficking with providers across the US. 
It is also starting a two-year innovative anti-trafficking project focused on using technology and Artificial Intelligence to prevent and combat human trafficking.
 
JOB OVERVIEW
 
We are seeking a skilled Anti-Trafficking coordinator to join an innovative anti-trafficking initiative focused on using technology and Artificial Intelligence to combat human trafficking, including online. The project aims to leverage cutting-edge technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and GenAI, to identify, and disrupt traffickers' digital activities, and protect victims of human trafficking. 
 
This position reports to the Protection and Anti-Trafficking Senior Technical Adviser within the Resettlement, Asylum and Integration unit (RAI)’s Anti-Trafficking program and support a new Anti-Trafficking project in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Foundation. The Anti-Trafficking unit implements programs that focus mainly on preventing human trafficking and on protecting victims of trafficking.
 
The role involves producing technical content (written, audio, videos, training modules, etc) in a various range of topics on human trafficking in the dedicated IRC Anti-Trafficking website, suggest new innovative content ideas, and contributes to the piloting of tech and AI tools throughout the project, researching online trafficking patterns, and advising on further strategies and funding opportunities to combat human trafficking.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project implementation of the Tech and AI project
•Collaborate with the AT team and Digital Innovation Manager to pilot tech and AI tools.
•Develop general content on human trafficking (written content, thematic fact sheets, videos, reports, etc.) for the IRC Anti-Trafficking website
•Create training materials and resources to support team members and stakeholders in understanding AI technologies and cyber intelligence techniques.
•Develop country-specific content for RAI program countries and offices (US and Europe).
•Design human trafficking training modules on the Kaya platform.
•Work on roundtables, internal events, blog posts, podcasts related to the IRC Anti-Trafficking program
•Participate in the regular project meetings and reporting
 
Development of toolkits, manuals and 
•Map and compile office-level materials at the IRC program offices 
•In collaboration with the Anti-Trafficking Technical Advisers and the Anti-Trafficking Senior Technical Advisor, work on developing toolkits and manuals on the IRC Anti-Trafficking programmatic approaches.
 
Business development
•Participate in technical review of funding proposals prepared by the Technical Unit, including review of technical activities and ensuring alignment to desired program models and parameters.
•Coordinate tracking, compilation and analysis of key program metrics and outcomes indicators.
•Build partnerships with academic institutions and other organizations with expertise and experience. 
 
Organizational priorities
•Participate actively as a member of RAI’s Program Excellence’s and Safety, Health and Education Technical Unit teams
•Collaborate closely with the Research, Analysis and Learning unit, in particular the technical advisor teams.
•Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Position reports to: Senior Technical Advisor, Protection and Anti-trafficking
 
Maintains close working relationships with members of the Resettlement, Integration and Innovation, and Research, Analysis & Learning units at HQ, and Country offices in the US and Europe, as well as close collaboration other anti-trafficking service providers and external subject matter experts. The Program coordinator is also expected to develop and maintain external relationships with universities as well as funding partners.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
•Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred 
 
Work experience 
•Minimum two years’ experience in direct delivery and monitoring of anti-trafficking programming
•Experience in provision of technical assistance and development of fact sheets, training materials and events
•Experience in program design, content creation monitoring and evaluation.
•Experience providing services to a wide range of communities is highly desirable. 
•Experience and or familiarity with tech and AI an asset 
 
Demonstrated skills and competencies
•English proficiency should be equivalent to that of a native speaker
•Strong understanding of the trends around human trafficking mainly in the US and in Europe and strong interest in learning about new contexts
•Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with evidence of the ability to productively interact with a wide range and level of staff and organizations 
•Strong creative and design skills and ability to conceptualize and visualize abstract ideas to create tangible, user-friendly designs
•Strong organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, problem-solve, effectively manage time and meet deadlines, and proven ability to work under pressure.
•Ability to access and apply current research in support of anti-trafficking efforts
•Demonstrated experience with a range of on-site and distance learning tools, and knowledge of current, effective adult learning technologies and trends  
•Demonstrated experience in utilizing webinar platforms such as Zoom and learning portals such as Kaya
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Remotely from any of the mentioned IRC locations.  Up to 10% of travel required.
