The core activity of the Finance Department is to safeguard the financial resources of MSF on behalf of the people we serve and to advise senior management on financial planning and performance. OCA Finance is part of the Resources group of departments, represented by staff in our field projects and coordination offices around the world, as well as our partner sections and our operational center Amsterdam with 27 staff members.
Main responsibilities
As a team member and the Finance Officer you are responsible for qualitative end-to-end processing the accounting transactions in OCA (Operational Center Amsterdam), office in Amsterdam, ensuring the financial integrity related to these transactions.
Responsibilities and activities
With accuracy and an eye for detail you follow up on different processes as well as functioning as a focal point towards our suppliers, MSF sections and staff regarding outstanding invoices
•Daily responsibilities include processes such as general accounting transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and bank, payments and contributing to a timely and accurate period close
•Provide administrative and finance/technical support to all levels of staff involved in domestic and international payments, orders, bank transfers, and cash and expenses disbursement/reimbursement
•Be in contact with the banks regarding complex international bank transfers and compliance of these transfers with international laws and regulations
•Monitor, advise on, and safeguard compliance of the chart of accounts and agreed procedures
•Flag and advise on procedures and propose solutions to ensure that processes and activities are maintained and updated for ongoing changes
Candidate profile

If you have experience working with Dynamics 365 or another ERP system, and possess good Microsoft Excel skills, we welcome you to apply for this role.
•Good accounting knowledge on a middle educational level (MEAO)
•At least three years’ working experience in an accounting area
•Experience with Office 365/Dynamics is preferred
•Enjoying hands-on administrative work
•Able to work independently and being a problem solver
•Fluency in written and spoken English is required (Dutch is a bonus)

We offer
This is a structural position. We offer a Dutch employment contract, based on 40 hours per week. The contract is for first for one year with renewal option (subject to satisfactory performance).
A gross monthly salary between € 3,223 and € 4,216 euro depending on relevant work experience, based on a fulltime appointment.
