Organizational Setting
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) supports the transformation to more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agri-food systems, for Better production, Better nutrition, Better environment and Better life, leaving no one behind. The Office of Communications (OCC) is responsible for both external and internal communications of the Organization. lt aims at making FAO's communications strategy, coherent, focused and impactful, while ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in communication-related operations.
Reporting Lines
The Consultant/PSA.SBS will report directly to a Communications Officer, under the general supervision of the Deputy Director OCC, Officer in Charge of the Digital and Multimedia Branch (OCCI).

Digital communication (Web, social media, digital media, communications).
Tasks and responsibilities
In close collaboration with ace branches and focal points, the incumbent will\:
• Support the implementation and maintenance of FAO.org web pages, ensuring a fully functional, mobile friendly version is released according to FAO work-plan and though skilled use of the Corporate Web Content Management System (Sitefinity).
• Contribute to the versioning and releases of the FAO Design System (https\://design-system.fao.org/).
• Support on digital campaigns, including drafting of campaign strategies, overseeing production of content related to the campaign, creating content
• plans and producing final evaluation reports.
• Develop, review, proofread and provide clearance for a wide range of communication materials for use on FAO's web and social media channels, ensuring consistency with FAO's key messages, terminology and style.
• Produce multimedia content for use on digital channels and campaigns, including but not limited to infovisuals, videos, animations.
• Support the formulation of the corporate social media policy, influencer engagement strategy, encouraging the adoption of digital trends across the Organization. This includes giving trainings to staff on the use of social media.
• Perform other duties as required.

CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements
• University degree in communication, social science, journalism, political science or a related field
• 1 year (for PSA) or 2 years (for Consultant) of relevant experience in digital communication and content production far digital platforms
• Working knowledge (proficient - level C) of English

• Extent and relevance of experience in WCMS and specifically Sitefinity

Selection Criteria
• Level, extent and relevance of experience with web, social media, campaigns, influencer marketing, digital marketing, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Ability to participate and work in a team under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience working in complex environments.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple work streams.
• Depth of English language skills\: full fluency in written English.
• Knowledge of Sitefinity and/or web content management tools such as Typo3is desirable.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or design tools such as Canva and Capcut.
