Job Purpose
The Market Intelligence Area of Work under the Breeding for Tomorrow Science Program will develop and promote communication products, such as the Market Intelligence Brief, Discussion Paper Series, podcast, bulletin, blogs, webinars, to name a few. The Coordination and Communication Officer will provide support in the writing and editing of the communication products; in marketing, promotion and advocacy; and in coordinating events and activities.
This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Write and edit communication collaterals (e.g., articles, scripts, press releases, brochures, etc.)
- Promote Market Intelligence products using various channels (e.g., social media, blogs, bulletin, etc.)
- Support planning and organization of events and engagements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Development Communication, Journalism, or related field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Master’s degree in Communication, Development Communication, Journalism, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
