The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is the Governmental agency through which the Government promotes the consolidation and economic-commercial development of Italian companies in foreign markets. It is also responsible for promoting the attraction of foreign investments to Italy. With a dynamic, motivated, and modern organization, and a widespread network of offices abroad, ITA carries out activities related to information, assistance, consultancy, promotion, and training for small and medium-sized Italian companies. By using the most modern multi-channel promotion and communication tools, ITA works to affirm the excellence of Made in Italy worldwide.
In particular, the ITA Amman Office covers three markets: Jordan, the Palestinian Territories and Iraq.
Position Required, Activities, and Remuneration
The Italian Trade Agency, Amman Office is looking for a Market Analyst Assistant (Trade Analyst Assistant) to be hired on a permanent contract for the Ramallah Correspondence Point, with 36 working hours per week.
The Correspondence Point is an office operating under the Amman Office, located in the Palestinian Territories.
The workplace will be in Ramallah. The working hours will be as follows: 08:30-16:00 with a 15-minute lunch break during the winter period; 09:00-16:30 with a 15-minute lunch break during the summer period. For each year of work, two weeks of paid vacation are recognized (21 days after 5 years of work), as required by local legislation.
The selected candidate will be offered a permanent contract, drawn up in accordance with the local Palestinian legal system.
The resource is expected to be hired approximately in May-June 2025, after the acquisition of the security clearance from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
•The Market Analyst Assistant will perform the following main tasks, though not exclusively, under the direction of the Amman Office Director, to promote Made in Italy and assist Italian companies interested in exporting and investing in the areas covered by the Office:  
• study and analysis of relevant sectors in the Palestinian Territories, including analyzing statistical data, updating economic reports, preparing market and sector notes, and creating content for the institutional website and social media;
• contacts with local institutions and organizations (trade associations, chambers of commerce, etc.);
• provision of assistance services to Italian and local companies, including identification and selection of commercial counterparts for Italian companies in various product sectors and organization of business to business (B2B) meetings;
• organization of promotional events such as fairs, seminars, workshops and missions for operators and journalists to major Italian events;
• identification of annual promotional proposals in the target sectors to develop the presence of Italian companies in the Palestinian Territories;
• selecting economic news and reporting of information on important tenders and business opportunities;
• providing information and assistance to Italian companies to facilitate their participation in in tenders and procurement processes;
• updating sector databases (Italian and local companies);
• administrative tasks such as managing initiatives, document archiving, and invoicing services.
The candidate must be available to travel abroad for work.
General requirements for admission
Candidates who meet the following requirements may participate in the tests:
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Law, International relations or Marketing;
• Good knowledge of Arabic and English;
• Knowledge of Italian (at B1 level or higher);
• Citizens of the country in which the Correspondence Point operates may be admitted to the selection procedures, as well as candidates with other citizenship, including Italian citizenship, provided that they have tax residency and a permanent residence and work permit in the country itself;
• Knowledge of the main IT tools (Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
