Unit Context: 
The INV unit is seeking to recruit a Senior Investigator to work on Investigations and who will report to the Manager, INV.

The incumbent will have overall responsibility for handling the quality, timeliness, and completeness of misconduct investigations, with the highest level of professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion. This role will be stationed at WBG Headquarters in Washington, D.C. 

Duties and accountabilities:

• Plan, organize, conduct, manage and lead investigations of alleged misconduct (e.g. harassment, sexual harassment, conflicts of interest, retaliation, abuse of authority, misuse of Bank resources, etc.) that are of the highest quality and completed in accordance with service delivery standards and deadlines. 
• Establish the factual basis of allegations of staff misconduct and consider possible instances of non-compliance with the WBG’s legal framework using the appropriate investigative tools including conducting interviews, obtaining documentary and other evidence, and examining and analyzing documents. 
• Prepare detailed and concise investigation reports to be submitted to the Vice President of Human Resources, and other communications. 
• Maintain case files; keep track of case status; and ensure record keeping of all produced and received documents is timely and properly maintained. 
• In addition to being directly responsible for handling investigations, the Senior Investigator will have a coaching and mentoring role with respect to more junior investigators on their assigned team. This role seeks to enhance team cohesion and to create a supportive environment that nurtures talent. It is integral to strengthening team dynamics, empowering self-organization, and promoting continuous improvement
• Participate in the sharing of best practices, trends, knowledge and lessons learned across units and with clients and partners, articulating ideas verbally and in writing in a clear and compelling way across audiences of varied levels. 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the WBG’s investigation process, rules and protocols to ensure they remain up-to-date and on par with best practices. 
• Participate in special initiatives/projects and undertake other ad hoc assignments. Provide and facilitate training to WBG staff on ethics-related issues.
