Overview of position

Our client in  Libya provides project management, procurement, and operational services in support of the UN and other partners. Reliable transportation, effective protocol liaison with authorities, and well-coordinated logistics support are essential to facilitate field missions, official delegations, and operational activities.

TheDriver/Protocol & Logistics Assistantwill ensure safe and efficient transportation services, support protocol processes with government authorities, and assist in logistical and administrative arrangements for missions and events. The role directly supports operational efficiency and smooth implementation of projects in Libya.

Role objectives
  • A. Driving & Fleet Support

    Provide reliable and safe driving services for staff, visitors, and partners for official movements in Tripoli and field locations.
    Ensure day-to-day maintenance of assigned vehicles, including fueling, cleaning, oil checks, and tire inspections.
    Maintain accurate vehicle logs for mileage, fuel consumption, and mission records.
    Report vehicle defects promptly and coordinate repairs and inspections as required.
    Comply with all security protocols, traffic rules, and safety procedures.

    B. Protocol Support

    Liaise with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other authorities for visa requests, permits, and other protocol formalities.
    Support airport facilitation, including pickups, drop-offs, and assistance with VIP delegations.
    Maintain records of visa validity and coordinate timely renewals for staff and official visitors.
    Assist in processing official documents and letters required for protocol arrangements.

    C. Logistics & Administrative Support

    Assist in organizing logistics for workshops, meetings, and missions, including transportation of materials and equipment.
    Support coordination of deliveries, shipments, and customs clearance where applicable.
    Provide logistical support during official events (e.g., setup, materials distribution, refreshments).
    Maintain proper filing of logistics, fleet, and protocol documentation for audit readiness.
    Collaborate with the operations team for travel bookings and security clearances as needed.
