YOUR IMPACT

As a Program Associate, you will support the execution of strategic and operational projects critical to the growth and efficiency of our technical organization. You will work directly with the Chief Engineer and the Chief of Staff - Engineering at Proxima Fusion, at the intersection of many technical disciplines. This is a high-ownership, high-growth opportunity for someone early in their career who’s excited by the chance to work at the intersection of cutting-edge science, engineering, and operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead and execute growth initiatives that have a critical impact on Proxima’s engineering team success (e.g. planning, supporting partnerships, building processes).

  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, providing solutions and building internal processes that support our rapid development philosophy, leveraging AI whenever possible.

  • Support and develop a highly effective and collaborative culture across our growing international team.

  • Improve cross-team communication by distilling complex information into clear internal documentation, updates, or presentations for stakeholders.

  • Act as a team multiplier, with strong attention to detail and focus on continuous improvement.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, economics, or a related technical/analytical field.

  • At least 1 year of work experience (including internships), ideally in a high-growth startup, scale-up, or a leading strategy consultancy.

  • Strong in analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Proactive and detail-oriented, with a willingness to take full accountability for delivering results.

  • A proactive learner who seeks out feedback, welcomes responsibility, and wants to grow fast.

  • Fluent in English with proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and presentations.

  • Excited by the idea of joining a high-growth deep tech startup and being exposed to world-class engineering and scientific thinking.
