Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support MEAL field teams to collect data and capture the lessons learned and best practices of the project.
  • Manage data verification and conduct analysis to ensure that learning is a central element of the project.
  • Document best practices/lessons learned and share findings on monthly basis to maximize project impact and on quarterly basis needs to conduct a session.
  • Ensure that beneficiary complaints/returns are properly captured, analysed, addressed, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on major cases that the IRC receives through the CRA channels and monitor visits with program leads and Sr. management.
  • Ensured the effective functionality of the beneficiaries’ complaint response mechanism and that beneficiary complaints/feedback to capture adequately, analyse, address, and respond to in a timely manner and utilized by the program and coordination teams.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual CRA factsheets/reports and share with the program and Sr. management.
  • Oversee proper management of the CRA central database.
  • Work to ensure that IRC staff, partners and contractors understand the procedures and CRA channels.
  • Follow up with field MEAL teams to ensure that all field offices are adequately equipped with accountability IEC materials.
  • Update the MEAL plan and tracker timely and provide feedback to MEAL and program staff on the status and quality of implementation.
  • Conduct regular data verification exercises to ensure reporting and collection of quality data.
  • Verify entered data for completeness, correctness, and consistency and follow up on any data quality issues.
  • Regularly monitor sector-specific trackers and coordinate with MEAL and program focal points to ensure that all the trackers are updated on time.
  • Provide MEAL inputs for reports written during project implementation.
  • Closely work with program staff to ensure they follow the correct procedures and criteria during beneficiary registration.
  • Support the development of protocols for baseline, midterm and end-lines surveys, research, and evaluations of projects.
  • Organize orientation for field program staff, volunteers and partners on the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.
  • Assist staff under supervision in completing performance management activities including performance planning, monitoring, and annual performance appraisals.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, social sciences, or other relevant field
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in MEAL, including a minimum of 2 years specifically focused on accountability and learning.
  • Experience working with international agencies or organizations.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies, tools, and analysis for qualitative and quantitative studies
  • Experience in community development principles/practices, inc. participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English must
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto is must
  • Proficiency in Excel and STATA, or other statistical analysis software.
  • Experience programming forms in COMM Care, Kobo, or other mobile data collection platforms.
  • Knowledge or GIS an added advantage
