Energy demand is growing for the first time in 20 years, driven by surging manufacturing, transportation, electrification, and data centers. Simultaneously, hundreds of billions of dollars are being invested in domestic supply chains for critical minerals and components. The Opportunity
As a Senior Commercial Recruiter at Crux, you will be a strategic partner in scaling our go-to-market and customer-facing teams. You will own full-cycle recruiting for roles across all levels in our industry coverage, tax investor coverage, debt capital markets, investments and more as we grow.
Your expertise will be crucial in building a high-performing team that reflects Crux’s mission, values, and standards of excellence, and you’ll help hire top-tier talent and inform our strategy / approach on commercial hiring working with our leadership team.
What you'll do
- Partner with hiring managers across commercial teams to understand role requirements and define hiring strategies. 
- Own and manage the end-to-end recruiting process for all commercial roles. 
- Source and engage top talent across finance, fintech, banking, and clean energy markets 
- Build and maintain talent pipelines, particularly for revenue-generating and client-facing roles. 
- Deliver a high-touch, inclusive candidate experience that reflects Crux’s brand and values. 
- Analyze and report recruiting metrics to drive decisions and improve efficiency. 
- Collaborate with People/HR to refine processes, interview structure, and ensure our processes are inclusive and in line with our company values. 
- Where/when appropriate, manage outsourced and agency support on specific roles (and help define what that should look like for the commercial function). 
What you bring
- Experience: 10+ years of commercial / GTM recruiting experience, with an intersection between finance, fintech, banking, and/or clean energy. 
- Track record: proven ability to hire top talent from the finance world into the high-growth startup, or a strong perspective on how to do so. 
- Industry specific expertise hiring across some combination of investment banking, debt capital markets, tax equity, investing generally in clean energy or manufacturing is a major plus. 
- Ready for a fast-paced startup environment: the idea of building from the ground up, iterating on an ongoing basis, and defining how we scale our commercial organization quickly working with leaders excites you. 
- Full-Cycle Expertise: Strong experience managing the entire recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to close. 
- Collaboration and stakeholder management skills: Skilled at building trusted relationships with hiring managers and executives to help inform their approach on hiring/talent acquisition for their teams. 
- Strategic advisor: You understand the market and have POV to share with our time on how to land talent. 
- Candidate Experience: Passionate about creating an inclusive, transparent, and respectful process. 
- Tools: Proficiency with ATS systems, sourcing platforms, and cutting edge recruiting practices leveraging AI and data.

- Benefits - Healthcare: We cover 100% of premiums for employees with a variety of plans on Aetna (nationwide) and Kaiser (WA and California) and subsidize 70% for dependents (total as a group), if relevant. 
- Dental & vision: We cover 100% of premiums for employees and 50% for dependents (each), if relevant. 
- Holidays: 10 company holidays per year. 
- Paid time off: 20 days per year. 
- 401k: We support a 401k account but don't have a matching program set up at this time (typical for an early-stage startup). 
- Parental leave: 16 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents. 
 
- Compensation: - Total cash: $175,000- $215,000 total cash inclusive of a prorated company wide bonus between $15k-$30k tied to revenue goals. Not inclusive of equity value. 
- Additional performance-based bonus for hitting key hiring targets is available. 
- Stock options in a rapidly growing company.
