Mission and objectives
UNDP supports strategic capacity development initiatives to promote inclusive growth and sustainable human development. Together with national, regional and local authorities, civil societies, private sector, UNDP strives to support Ukraine in its efforts to eliminate poverty, develop people’s capacity, achieve equitable results, sustain the environment, and advance democratic governance. UNDP is in line with 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to achieve national strategic capacity development.
Context
The Tech Volunteers for Resilience (Tech4R) programme, co-led by the UNDP Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, mobilizes skilled community volunteers to co-develop open-source digital solutions that strengthen resilience, recovery, and inclusivity in crisis and development contexts.
In collaboration with UNDP Ukraine, Tech4R is implementing the Digital Accessibility and Universal Design Assessment Tool for Youth Centers project. The initiative supports youth centers across Ukraine — key institutions for social inclusion, non-formal education, and community engagement — to evaluate and improve the accessibility of their facilities and services.
The project aims to develop a low-code digital self-assessment tool that allows youth centers to measure accessibility and universal design compliance, visualize results, and identify areas for improvement. By standardizing evaluation processes, the tool will enhance inclusivity, encourage evidence-based planning, and integrate universal design principles into Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Low-Code/No-Code Builder Volunteers will design and configure the digital tool using accessible platforms such as Glide, AppSheet, or Google Forms + Sheets, ensuring that it is intuitive, functional, and scalable for local use.
