The Outreach Division ensures the deployment of the ESA brand across the Agency as well as the coordination of public and media relations activities across ESA establishments and Member States while overseeing the Department’s budget and manpower resources, its key performance indicators, its quality and risk management processes, internal policies, administration, service level agreements and workflow process.

Field(s) of activity for the internship
Topic of the internship: AI based Digital Content Development
Reporting directly to the Head of the Outreach Division of the ESA Communication Department, you will support the development of content for the Department’s Metabox (https://www.metaboxhologram.com)
You will, in particular, focus on proposing a development plan of a whole new range of promotional products through the Metabox (for example ESA merchandising) by using new technologies such as AI tools to develop new ways of presenting products within the Metabox.
As such, you will analyse and propose adequate software/tools to be used (e.g. https://higgsfield.ai) to develop graphics and videos, in particular, short promotional videos and/or animation in 3D on different topics using the Metabox as a support.
In addition, you will also analyse the present Digital Human interface (within the Metabox) and propose plans for future development and improvement.
Within this context, you will have to liaise with the different concerned services and offices to propose the development of new ideas and correct ESA branding compliance.

Education
You must be a university student, preferably studying at master’s level. In addition, you must be able to prove that you will be enrolled at your University for the entire duration of the internship.
Additional requirements
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another ESA Member State language is an asset.
During the interview, your motivation for applying to this role will be explored.
Knowledge and background in AI for digital communication and 3D animation is an asset.
