This is your chance to design and deliver intelligent systems that make a real impact. As an Associate AI Engineer, you will own the development of scalable chatbots, conversational AI, and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) solutions using Azure AI Services, Prompt Flow, and Vector Search. You’ll take business problems from concept to production, applying strong engineering practices around quality, fairness, and explainability.

You’ll shape how AI is built across the organisation—deploying pipelines, fine‑tuning models, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and production‑ready. If you enjoy hands‑on engineering, modern frameworks such as Transformers and LangChain, and building solutions that scale in the cloud, this role lets you lead with impact.

What you will do:

  • Design, build, and maintain AI/ML applications including chatbots, RAG pipelines, and semantic search.
  • Write clean, maintainable Python code and contribute to code reviews.
  • Develop AI solutions using Azure AI Services, Prompt Flow, and Azure AI Search (Vector Store).
  • Deliver end‑to‑end AI features aligned with product and business goals.
  • Build robust unit, integration, and observability tests across pipelines.
  • Validate, tune, and deploy models with attention to fairness, explainability, and quality.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable user stories.
  • Act as a key technical contact for AI/ML queries within the squad.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, backlog refinement, and estimation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in pipeline design and automation.
  • Establish automated testing, quality gates, and observability in CI/CD workflows.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote responsible AI standards.

What you will bring:

  • Strong Python skills and hands‑on AI/ML or data engineering experience.
  • Experience building AI/ML solutions using frameworks such as scikit‑learn, Transformers, LangChain, or OpenAI SDK.
  • Practical experience with Azure AI Services, Prompt Flow, Azure ML, and Vector Search.
  • Ability to design reproducible training and inference pipelines integrated with CI/CD.
  • Skilled in data preparation, feature engineering, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience designing and testing RESTful APIs and working with OpenAPI specifications.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering and embedding generation for retrieval systems.
  • Ability to lead story refinement, technical design, and mid‑sized deliverables independently.
  • Understanding of responsible AI practices, documentation, and compliance needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development.
  • Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and logging strategies.
  • Understanding of chatbot architectures and AI‑assisted application patterns.

Why join us:

  • Build high‑impact AI systems—from conversational AI to RAG solutions—where your engineering decisions shape strategy, reliability, and scale across the organisation.
  • Work with cutting‑edge tech (Azure AI, Prompt Flow, LLM frameworks, Transformers, vector search) while collaborating autonomously with experienced engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
  • Grow as a technical leader through mentoring opportunities, continuous learning, cloud certifications, and a culture committed to responsible, ethical, and secure AI.
