The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) envision a more equitable world where trees in all landscapes, from drylands to the humid tropics, enhance the environment and well-being for all. Overview

We are urgently seeking experienced consultants to support a dynamic program focused on transforming agrifood systems across Africa, with a strong emphasis on impact evaluation, monitoring, and learning (MEL). This program partners with leading organizations to generate evidence, assess outcomes, and strengthen capacities that drive sustainable and inclusive development. Consultants will be engaged on a rolling basis for specialized topics and must be available to start immediately. Applications are open until filled.

Requirements

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements

  • Relevant degree(s) in related fields.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus (specifically French or Portuguese).
  • Proven experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably in non-profit or development contexts.
  • Experience in working in African countries
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to collaborative learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience working in youth programs or related development initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and foster knowledge sharing.
  • Agility and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in fast-paced, urgent work environments are essential, as the work often requires rapid mobilization and adaptive action.
