Job Description

Under the direct supervision of Procurement and logistics assistant in Farchana, the candidate be in charge of small electricity repairs at the sub-office in Farchana on the base needs and work identified in sub-office.

Responsibilities

  1. Daily routine check-up of all the electrical System & appliances and ensure the replacement of defective bulbs, tube lights, parameter lights, ACs, switches, sockets, plug points, short circuiting/Tripping lines, rewiring, managing tangled wires, load balancing and any other job;
  2. Ensure a thorough check up to all the electrical systems which includes cleaning of all panel junctions, tightening of all connections, checking/cleaning/greasing of all contracts, checking of Main Circuit Breakers (MCB's);
  3. Ensure checking the electric load between each electrical phase to ensure electric load is equally shared in each phase to avoid accident while installation of various electrical equipment/device i.e. Printers, AC, Fridges, UPs etc. where necessary;
  4. Capable to repair or arrange to repair electronic and electrical items; 
  5. Capable to repair or arrange maintenance of Power equipment - AC, all lights, sockets, Electricity supply distribution board (DB box) etc;
  6. Maintenance and cleaning of generators;
  7. Establish a maintenance file and keep it up to date;
  8. Assist and provide support in the implementation of electricity related projects;
  9. Any other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education
 
  • Bachelor’s in electrical or any other equivalent degree
  •  Minimum 2 years of experience.
  •  Experience in working with UN and NGOs.
  • Sensitized to quality, safety and environment aspects.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
