The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services for the transport of authorized staff / personnel of ICMPD Tunisia Field Office (project teams and experts, and other persons as the case may be after agreement of the Project Manager and the Office Manager) in accordance with best practices, relevant traffic regulations and ICMPD security policies and procedures. The Driver has strong sense of responsibility, a client-oriented approach, courtesy and the ability to work with people of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
The Driver works under the supervision of the office Manager and in close collaboration with other project team members.
This position is located in Tunis, with driving services in support of field missions within the territory of Tunisia.
A valid driving license, type B, (free from conviction), with 2-year safe-driving record.
Criminal record clearance certified by local authorities (B3)
Proof of a minimum of 3 years of position-relevant work experience with other NGOs or international organisations or a minimum of 10 years equivalent experience with private companies or government structure.
Excellent physical and health conditions. To be confirmed, prior to hiring, by a recognised General Practitioner that the incumbent has a clear medical record and is physically fit to undertake the assignment, including confirmation that the incumbent is free from any medical conditions that could affect vehicle driving.
Good ICT skills is a distinct asset.
Experience in an international context
Proficiency in (verbal/written) French and Arabic.
Working knowledge of English.
Familiarity in the use of emergency communication equipment and GPS devices.
Training in evasive driving, first aid, and/or security subjects by qualified bodies is an asset.
