IOM Indonesia aims to ensure quality of care for refugees and asylum seekers referred to IOM by the Government of Indonesia according to applicable international humanitarian and human rights standards. The programme supports refugees through healthcare, education, basic needs, as well as to contribute to the increased protection of vulnerable subgroups, such victims of sexual and gender-based violence, among others, through referral mechanisms involving the active participation of specialized state and non-state service providers. It also contributes to supporting them with the eventual sustainable pathways.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Associate and under the overall supervision of the Community Accountability Coordinator, in implementing the refugee care activities in line with the Programme requirement, and as part of the programme’s strategy to ensure community engagement and increased accountability towards affected populations, as well as in line with IOM policies, standards and commitments.
Qualifications
Responsibilities and Accountabilities.
- Provide general/clerical assistance in the implementation of project activities.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Assist in monitoring budget and updating budget related information.
- Support administrative coordination for project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units or external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process, and follow-up on administrative actions.
- Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations, and other forms of documentation.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops and training sessions.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting or related field from an accredited academic institution with at least 1 (one) year of relevant professional experience; or
- High school diploma with three years of relevant experience;
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
EXPERIENCE
• Indonesian national with good knowledge of, and experience in project administration implementation and operational;
• Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way.
• Working experience in UN agencies will be preferable.
• Have relevant training and field experience, specifically in IOM accounting systems
• Basic knowledge on project management is desirable.
SKILLS

- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of IOM accounting systems, software and procedures a distinct advantage.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and to analyse and interpret source information and data.
High level of computer literacy is required especially database and spreadsheet; knowledge of IOM computerized accounting systems is an advantage
