Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the UNOPS Office of the Regional Director (ORD) forAfrica provides strategic leadership, oversight, and operational support to UNOPS multi-country offices across the continent. The office guides portfolio management, partnership development, and risk management, helping ensure alignment with organizational goals and regional priorities. By promoting high standards in project delivery, the regional office plays a critical role in enhancing efficiency, accountability, and impact. It serves as a hub for knowledge sharing, enabling the exchange of best practices and lessons learned across diverse contexts. Job Specific Context
Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Analyst, the Driver/Administration Clerk contributes to the smooth functioning of the Regional Office by providing driving, logistical, and general administrative assistance. The incumbent ensures timely support to routine office operations and collaborates closely with UNON service providers and the wider AFR RO team.

The primary purpose of the Driver/Administrative Clerk is to contribute directly to the seamless functioning of the Africa Regional Office by providing driving assistance and timely, high-quality logistical, administrative,assistance.

Provide safe and reliable driving services for RO official engagements as assigned.
Ensure the assigned vehicle is maintained in clean and roadworthy condition through daily checks (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, etc.) and report any required maintenance.
Maintain an up-to-date vehicle logbook and ensure insurance, registration, and other documentation are valid at all times.
Maintain and regularly check the vehicle’s first-aid kit, emergency tools, and safety equipment.
Administrative Support
Performs daily clerical support to support Regional Office operations.
When instructed, and under close guidance of the supervisor, assist with basic procurement activities such as raising requisitions, receipts and payment requests in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Provide basic logistical support for meetings, workshops, travel and events (including but not limited to placing name tags on tables, checking attendance sheets, preparing folders).
Assist in the archiving and maintenance of office records.
Logistics and Travel Support
Assist in day-to-day coordination with cleaning staff, building maintenance, and UNON facility management on routine office upkeep.
Assist with stock control and inventory of supplies, consumables and assets.
Maintain office organization, including management of keys, cupboards, and shared storage areas.
Assist personnel with travel bookings and perform other simple clerical tasks as required.

Required
Secondary school (or equivalent) with 3 years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with 0 years of relevant experience is required.

- Certification or training in administration, logistics, finance, or procurement is desirable.
Experience Requirements
Required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a driver with a safe driving record.
- A valid Kenyan driver’s license with a minimum 3 years of safe driving record is required.
Desired
Relevant experience in administration, logistics, operations or related area ideally within an international or large organizational environment is desired.

Experience in the use of collaboration and productivity tools (e.g. MS Office, G-Suite, etc) and web-based management systems is desired.
