Senior Project Manager coordinates project implementation of the EU-funded flagship initiative Border Management Programme for Central Asia phase 11 (BOMCA 11).

Implemented by a consortium of partner institutions under the leadership of ICMPD, BOMCA 11 aims to advance regional cross-border cooperation, tackle organised crime, and improve living conditions for the population of border regions by applying an integrated border management approach and gender-balanced, human-rights-centred principles. It will work across three thematic components, each coordinated by a designated consortium partner institution. With a budget of € 12 million and a duration of 40 months, this phase will achieve results through capacity-building activities, the procurement of equipment, and grant schemes.  Geographically, the project will cover five countries in Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The Senior Project Manager coordinates project implementation across the Central Asia region, liaising with final beneficiaries in five countries at the strategic level.

The Senior Project Manager leads the BOMCA regional structure with the Regional Office in Bishkek and National Coordinators in four other countries. S/he works under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator, based in HQ Vienna, and works closely with the Coordinators of the three thematic components.
