CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Digital Analyst to work in the Engagement Chapter.
The positions will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.
Support the strategic management, evolution, and performance of CIMMYT’s external digital ecosystem. This role ensures that corporate and project digital platforms are functional, engaging, data informed, and aligned with CIMMYT’s mission to advance inclusive, productive, and resilient agrifood systems.
The position combines hands on website management, light digital development, analytics, and creative problem solving to strengthen CIMMYT’s digital presence and external engagement.
Key responsibilities
Corporate website management
- Manage, update, and optimize CIMMYT’s corporate website using WordPress and or Drupal
- Edit, publish, and structure content in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Ensure consistency in design, navigation, accessibility, and user experience
- Apply SEO best practices and support content discoverability
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, usability, and engagement
Development of portals and project webpages
- Design and implement project webpages, microsites, and landing pages
- Support the conceptualization and functional design of external portals or applications
- Translate project requirements into clear digital structures and user journeys
- Coordinate with external developers or vendors when advanced development is required
- Ensure quality control, usability, and alignment with CIMMYT branding and standards
Management of external digital channels and campaigns
- Support the setup and management of external digital channels linked to campaigns and initiatives
- Enable digital marketing activities through tracking, tagging, and optimization
- Ensure coherence between campaigns, websites, portals, and user journeys
- Provide technical and analytical support to communications and outreach efforts
Digital analytics and performance insights
- Monitor website, portal, and campaign performance using analytics tools
- Analyze data to inform content, UX, and channel optimization decisions
- Produce concise, actionable performance insights for internal decision making
- Support evidence based prioritization of digital improvements and investments
Creativity and innovation
- Bring creative thinking to digital storytelling, structure, and user experience
- Proactively propose improvements, new formats, or tools to enhance engagement
- Stay informed of digital trends, tools, and best practices relevant to non profit and international organizations
A must…
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Experience creating microsites, portals, or digital tools
Familiarity with SEO, accessibility standards, and digital marketing fundamentals
Experience working in international, non profit, or research environments.
- Proven experience managing websites using WordPress and or Drupal
- Strong understanding of website structure, UX, and content management systems
- Experience supporting or enabling digital campaigns and external engagement
- Demonstrated ability to work with analytics and performance data
