Since 2017, IRC has supported Rohingya Refugees and Bangladeshi nationalities communities in Cox's Bazar, Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong with integrated services. The organization also addresses climate change impacts by building resilience and promoting economic recovery, education, and protection

Purpose of the Role
The Case Processing Officer supports the resettlement process for individuals under the Assisted Passage Program. This role involves managing applicant documentation, coordinating appointments, updating databases, and ensuring smooth case progression. The officer works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to uphold data integrity and provide compassionate support to applicants.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Documentation
- Assist applicants through various stages including CMAF, biometrics, interviews, and medical appointments
- Prepare and maintain Case Management Processing Forms in line with program requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the APP database
- Review of applicant files for completeness and compliance
- Identify and follow up on missing documents
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with interpretation, movement, pipeline teams to facilitate case progression
- Communicate appointment details and respond to applicant inquiries with clarity and empathy
- Support quality checks and file handovers to ensure readiness for travel
Data & Reporting
- Contribute to Comcare tracking through data entry and basic reporting
- Flag inconsistencies and support resolution of documentation issues
Others
- Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion and cohesion in IRC
- Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in case processing, data management, or administrative support
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle sensitive cases with discretion
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in data management, interviewing, or case processing
- Familiarity with Comcare or similar case tracking systems
- Working knowledge of Rohingya language
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or in a relevant field (Preferred- Social Sciences, Social Work, International Relations, Public Administration)
