Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (DTM) and direct supervision of the Information Management Officer (DTM) the intern will:
- Support with Collaboration between IM and the reporting team and management to understand information needs, and coordinate with the Database Assistant to design and implement SQL views and output tables. Ensure these designs follow industry-standard principles and patterns for high reusability and maintainability.
- Work closely with management to maintain data consistency and accuracy. Provide statistical information and mapping solutions to meet internal and external information requests.
- Oversee Business Intelligent Profiling BIP including preparing, cleaning, transforming, and maintaining the integrity of all relevant data, interpreting and analyzing the relevant raw data into meaningful information and key findings.
- In collaboration with the Data Analysts and Database Officer, work on determining and locating appropriate data sources that meet with reporting requirements. In addition, to ensure the proper access to the needed data sources.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a graduate programme or have completed a university degree within the last 12 months.
- Demonstrate strong interest in information management, or Database design and implement SQL views and output tables.
- Have a working knowledge of English (oral and written); knowledge of Dari or Pashto is an advantage.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to manage data with attention to detail.
- Motivated to learn and work in a cross-functional humanitarian team.

- The intern will receive a monthly stipend.
- On-the-job learning, coaching, and capacity-building support will be provided throughout the internship.
- Intern must be based in or able to travel to the Kabul office.
