Context

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Morocco is strengthening and diversifying its partnership portfolio and enhancing strategic alliances to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the country, in line with UNDP Strategic Plan, the UNDP Country Programme document (2023-2027) and Morocco’s New Development Model. This position, generously funded by Spain, will support UNDP's broader partnership strategy and contributes to the implementation of Morocco's national development priorities through enhanced collaboration with a broad range of key stakeholders in line with UNDP’s mandate and comparative advantage.

Task description

Under the overall guidance of UNDP’s RR and under direct supervision of UNDP’s DRR (Programme and Operations), the international UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

Support the CO Directorate (RR/DRR) with analysis of key development data, development policy analysis, as a background for strategic partnership-building and resource mobilization:

- Support the Resident Representative and Deputy Resident Representative in development engagement activities with existing and potential partners
- Contribute to the CO annual report, policy analyses, partnership reports, briefing notes, and presentations for senior management
- Support senior management’s participation in high-visibility activities showcasing suc-cessful partnerships and their development impact
- Contribute to thematic reflections and partnership meetings on Financing, Gender, Youth and Employment
- Gather information and data from publicly available sources, conduct policy research including on development cooperation, and prepare literature review on sustainable development, inclusive green growth, financing for development and related topics, ex-amining key trends through the lenses of SDGs, international development coopera-tion, South South cooperation.
- Conduct analysis and processes related to the UNDP Due Diligence policy on private sector.
- Contribute to analytical products, visualization and communication, prepare short notes, policy briefs, background research and concept notes, synthesizing findings into actionable insights. Develop charts, dashboards, and presentations to effec-tively communicate analytical results to internal and external audiences.

Actively contribute the CO Partnership Task Force and relevant thematic working groups at inter-agency level:

- Map and keep track of existing and potential strategic partnerships with government in-stitutions, private sector entities, civil society organizations, academia, and international partners.
- Support the drafting of funding proposals, partnership agreements, MOUs, and collabo-ration frameworks with diverse stakeholders.
- Organize partnership forums, networking events, and multi-stakeholder dialogues
- Propose innovative partnership models and frameworks that align with UNDP's man-date and Morocco's development priorities.
- Participate in the GPP thematic groups as needed.

Policy analysis, knowledge generation and management :

- Contribute to relevant CO knowledge products, documenting lessons learned, case studies and promising practices
- Follow-up on global, regional launches of KPs to contribute to analysis and knowledge exchange
- Maintain comprehensive partnership and KM databases and tracking systems
- Identify emerging partnership trends and innovative collaboration mechanisms
