We design and maintain reward systems that balance operational needs, financial sustainability, and labour market realities—while ensuring that MSF remains an attractive employer committed to responsible HR practices.

Our team collaborates closely with HR colleagues across HQ andprogramme countries , the other Operational Centers, Finance, and Legal to ensure sound and compliant employment conditions. We seek analytical, solution-oriented HR professionals who enjoy working across systems, policies, cultures, and contexts—and who care deeply about equitable reward structures in humanitarian operations.

As the Total Rewards Advisor, you play a central role in shaping, safeguarding, and evolving MSF OCA’s global reward strategy. You navigate complex employment environments, translate policy into actionable solutions, and help country HR teams implement reward systems effectively. You will work closely with the regional HR leaders, Compensation & Benefits specialists, HR Directors, and finance colleagues.

You will combine three core pillars:

Global Reward Strategy & Alignment

You develop improvements to the reward strategy and negotiate alignment with the other Operational Centers, ensuring MSF’s global reward architecture remains coherent and sustainable.

Employment Conditions & Salary System Design

You analyse complex labour-market challenges, design solutions for salary grids—including in times of crisis—and develop contractual packages aligned with MSF’s principles and operational needs.

Implementation, Advisory & Field Support

You guide missions through local implementation of reward policies, ensuring compliance with local legislation, MSF standards, and the realities of rapidly changing operational environments.

What you’ll do
