Position Objective
 
The Process and System Improvement Manager leads a small team and manages cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement across the organization. This role focuses on streamlining processes and ensuring that the Fund’s systems are 
designed and configured for process optimization.
 
The manager acts as main point of contact with the Department of IT and requires strong leadership, project management, and technical skills, as well as capacity to adapt to an International Organization.
 
 
Purpose 
     * Support the organization’s mission through continuous performance improvement
     * Drive organization-wide initiatives aimed at process and system improvements aiming to optimize workflow and increase overall efficiency. 
 
Engagement
     * Report to the Operational Control Manager within the Operations Risk, Control and Excellence team
     * Lead and mentor a small team responsible for process and system improvement activities.
     * Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including Finance, Procurement, Investment   , People and Culture and other teams, to identify and implement process enhancements aligned with organizational goals.
     * Act as the primary liaison with IT for Oracle Fusion system upgrades, automation, and functional improvements.
     * Collaborate with the Operational Control officer to mitigate operational risks in processes and systems
     * Facilitate internal and external stakeholder engagement, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions to ensure project success.  
     * Engage with senior leadership to communicate progress, challenges, and impact of initiatives.
     * Coordinate change management efforts, including user training and adoption of new or improved processes and systems.
 
Delivery
     * Develop the Process Improvement Framework of the Fund   , adjusting lean 6sigma methodology to the context of the GCF
     * Prioritize initiatives based on organizational risk, impact, and strategic importance.
     * Lead end-to-end process improvement projects within Oracle Fusion modules and other systems, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and compliance standards.
     * Support the development of tools and dashboards to enhance GCF’s monitoring systems
     * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of workflows, system configurations, controls, and improvements.
     * Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of system and process enhancements, recommending further improvements.
     * Ensure all modifications and implementations adhere to internal policies, industry standards, and UNFCCC-specific regulatory requirements.
     * Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
 
Requirements (Education, experience, technical competencies required of the job)
     * Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related fields; or bachelor’s degree plus 2 additional years of experience.
     * Minimum of 11 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, finance, procurement
     * Understanding of ERP platforms (r Oracle fusion) and system enhancements, 
     * 4+ years of experience in management role.   
     * Certification in Lean, 6-sigma (black belt is highly desirable or other operational excellence framework
     * Proven skills in leading small teams and managing process improvement cross-functional projects.
     * Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion architecture, workflows, automation and reporting capabilities, and finance/procurement processes.
     * Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliverables.
     * Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex processes and data.
     * Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience managing change.
     * Experience working with international organizations, or UN agencies is desirable
     * Fluency in both written and spoken English; knowledge of one or more languages is an advantage.

     * Project & Change Management: Capable of leading multiple initiatives and managing change effectively.
     * Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability to analyze system data and operational processes for continuous improvement.
     * International Standards & Compliance: Familiarity with UN and other international organizational standards is a strong plus.
     * Cultural Sensitivity & Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
