Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Partnerships Coordinator for the project “Pathways to Protection” (P2P). Led by DRC in consortium with the Danish Red Cross and the IDC, the project operates across 10 countries and collaborates with 23 local partner organizations. 

 

About the job 

The P2P consortium is looking for a Protection Monitoring Coordinator to develop and roll out a harmonised protection monitoring system suitable for the P2P programme that will enable collecting, verifying and analysing information over an extended period of time in order to identify violations of rights and protection risks for populations of people on the move with the purpose of informing effective responses and evidence-based advocacy. The Protection Coordinator will be part of the P2P Consortium Management Unit. 

 

Your main duties and responsibilities will be: 

 

  • Map the data and information needs for the P2P Protection Monitoring System according to the protection analytical framework 
  • Assess the pertinence of current protection monitoring exercises for P2P  
  • Develop the quantitative and qualitative tools for the protection monitoring system in line with the PIM Framework and the P2P Analytical Framework 
  • Development of common units of analysis for protection monitoring in mixed migration based on existing DRC tools. 
  • Collect and incorporate inputs and feedback from relevant stakeholders and key users 
  • Develop system SOPs and analytical guidelines 
  • Develop a Protection Monitory System roll-out plan 
  • Develop training materials for field teams who will be using the system 
  • Develop a training plan for users. 
  • Collaborate in the design of protection monitoring dashboards. 
  • Facilitate trainings in field locations  
  • Develop a Protection Monitoring System revision plan to be implemented after roll-out phase 
  • Contribute to program development providing evidence using the protection monitoring data and information, including for drafting and reviewing concept notes and proposals, and supporting the development of high-quality submissions for the program 
  • Lead the coordination of protection monitoring technical inputs from country offices, consortium members and partner organisations to ensure coherence, quality and alignment across program design, implementation and reporting. 
  • Review protection monitoring reports to ensure quality, consistency with programme objectives and deliverables, and alignment with agreed methodologies and thematic components. 
  • Lead the identification of protection monitoring trends to support evidence-based programming 
  • Represent the CMU, when requested, in relevant public fora, donor engagements and technical workshops related to protection monitoring 
  • Support P2P consortium members in the set-up, management and monitoring of protection-monitoring-related partnerships, including aligning tools, methodologies, and reporting requirements. 

 

About you 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 5 years of proven protection experience in humanitarian response doing protection monitoring. Moreover, we also expect the following: 

 

  • Master’s degree in Law, International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology.  
  • Excellent understanding of the PIM Framework and the PAF 
  • Experience working in mixed migration settings 
  • Excellent analytical skills  
  • Prior experience in developing protection information management systems 
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across different contexts 
  • Experience developing and delivering trainings 
  • Ability to travel frequently 
  • Fluency in English  
  • Professional fluency in French or Arabic (desired)

We offer 

  • Contract length: 12months 
  • Band: NMG1 
  • Start date: 01 Feb 2026 
  • Duty station: Tunis (Other locations may be considered, with regular travel to Tunis and to P2P implementing countries)
